SCHAS serves over 20 counties in East Tennessee.  There are a range of opportunities available in every county we serve from stuffing envelopes, helping with fundraisers, to serving on our Advisory Boards.  We love volunteers!

Commit to giving a certain amount of time to volunteering for SCHAS. Figure out how much commitment is actually doable, whether it’s a few hours a day, a week or a month.  Once you’ve decided, then contact us and let us know where the best fit for you might be, or just let us know you’ll help with anything!  After we have processed your volunteer application we will be happy to put you in touch with the volunteer coordinator in the county where you choose to volunteer.

We are always looking for caregivers that have the same drive and passion for caring for seniors as we do.
The video below shows a little about a day in the life of a new caregiver for SCHAS.  While circumstances will be different in each home you enter, the mission is the same, showing genuine concern and providing excellent care of the client.

If you have the heart of a caregiver, strive to provide quality care, are compassionate and enjoy helping others, you possess many of the qualities of a SCHAS Caregiver. As a SCHAS Caregiver, you will take care of the house cleaning and personal care of your client. But being a SCHAS Caregiver is more. You will be there to provide the companionship for your client needs and peace of mind for family members that their loved one is being well cared for. We select only the best caregivers possible through recruitment, and thorough screening, interviewing and training process. A SCHAS Caregiver is:
